July 23, 2012 — 7:00 P.M.

Meeting called to order by Alumni President, Roger Holder. Those present included: Roger Holder, Jimmilee Prouty, Lana Bucher, Callie Manier, Terry Flowers, Kay Honeycutt, Terry Holder, and Sharon Holder.

Minutes of the May 21, 2012 meeting were presented. Motion was made by Terry Flowers, seconded by Kay Honeycutt to approve minutes. Motion passed.

Treasurer's report will be presented at next meeting.

Discussion of Alumni donors. Any person having donated $500 or more to the association will be added to the plaque in the high school gymnasium. Association agreed to also recognize such donors at the annual banquet/mixer each year and possibly provide donor names in the annual newsletter.

Bob Burch, HHS Alum, contacted the association in regard to a donor scholarship. He is willing to donate $2,000.00 to the scholarship fund each year, in return that a scholarship be paid out to a graduating Houston High School student in honor of the "Burch Family." The current scholarship rating form would be used. Motion by Kay Honeycutt to approve the additional scholarship, seconded by Lana Bucher. Motion passed.

Old Business:

Discussion of By-law revisions. In order to satisfy the IRS, the association will include a scholarship rating sheet to show how scholarship selections are determined. If organization should be dissolved, association proposes leaving the assets to the Houston School District. Bill Gladden will contact the association about the legality of such issues.

New Business:

Discussion of Alumni Weekend preparations. Sept 15 - Homecoming day festivities will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the parade, coronation at 6:30, and game time at 7:00. Association will provide trailer/float for the retired teachers. Sept 16 — Association will collect dues at the Alumni breakfast. Alumni mixer is from 2 — 4 p.m. Sandra Manier and Sandy Craven will take care of the decorations and refreshments. Scott Dill has agreed to be a guest speaker. Association will use FFA for set-up and take down, as well as the school custodial services for clean-up. Volunteers will be used to collect dues at all three entrances.

Discussion to include an "editorial section" of the meeting each time the association meets. In order to relieve some of the duties of the Historian, the group as a whole has agreed to gather alumni information throughout the year.

Next meeting will be August 27, 2012.

Motion by Jimmilee Prouty to adjourn.
