HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION MEETING

August 26, 2013 — 7:00 P.M.


Meeting called to order by Alumni President, Terry Holder. Those present included: Roger Holder, Sandra Craven, Terry Flowers, Kay Honeycutt, Bob Bryson, Terry Holder, Sharon Holder, Carrie Pierce, Norman Epperson, Jimmilee Prouty, Lana Bucher, Linda Hall and Rowena Moore.

Minutes of the May 22, 2013 meeting were presented. Motion was made by Terry Flowers, seconded by Norm Epperson to approve minutes. Motion passed.

Motion was made by Norm Epperson, seconded by Roger Holder to approve treasurer's report. Motion passed.

Committee Reports:

Correspondence - Kay Honeycutt reported that she had received several dues and comments from Alumni.
Historian - Terry Flowers reported on the graduating classes and memorials that had contributed $500.00 or more to the scholarship fund that will have their name on the plaque in the high school gym lobby.

Old Business:

Discussed the feasibility of having the Alumni Newsletter on E-Mail for those that would want it.

New Business:

We will furnish a float for the Educators Hall of Fame.

Sandra Craven to contract Houston Newspaper about an article to promote classes to decorate business windows downtown.

Next meeting will be September 23, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Houston Elementary Library.
